Paolo Duterte posts about drug test; Migs Nograles asks for new one

Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte on Tuesday night shared that he has taken a hair follicle drug test.

His office shared the video and the test results which indicated negative findings for several types of drugs.

“Hinahamon ko ang aking katunggali sa pagka-representante ng Unang Distrito ng Davao City, na sinasabing miyembro ng mga ‘young goons’ sa Kongreso, o ‘guns’ ba iyon, na magpa-hair follicle test din,” Duterte said in a statement.

“Ang hamon na ito ay para sa ating kapakanan at para matiyak na ang mga maglilingkod sa bayan ay malinis at walang kahit anong bisyong ilegal na droga,” he added.

Duterte said he is willing to undergo the test again and again “upang ipakita na walang dapat ipag-alala ang ating mga kababayan tungkol sa integridad ng kanilang mga lider.”

PBA party-list Rep. Migs Nograles, who's also running for the 1st district of Davao City, responded to Duterte's challenge.

“I appreciate that you have posted your drug test result but this is an old test done last August," Nograles said.

"For the sake of transparency and accountability to the people of Davao City, I’d like to invite you to join me for a new drug test tomorrow (October 23) at 1:30 PM at Hi Precision Laboratory in Bajada, Davao City," she added. —NB, GMA Integrated News
