Ex-House Sec Gen Barua-Yap named new CSC chair

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. appointed former House Secretary General Marilyn Barua-Yap as the new chairperson of the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

This was confirmed by the Office of the Executive Secretary on Thursday. Her term will expire on February 2, 2029.

Barua-Yap replaced Karlo Nograles after the latter quit from his post early this month.

Prior to her appointment to the CSC, Barua-Yap served as undersecretary for the Special Concerns Office (SCO) and External Affairs and Communications Operations Office (EACOO) of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). — RSJ/VDV, GMA Integrated News
