PCO vows to remain steadfast in providing accurate, timely info to public

The Presidential Communications Office on Monday guaranteed to continue providing accurate and relevant information to the public as it vowed to "stand against disinformation" in the society.

The PCO, which serves as the lead communications arm of the government, celebrates 82 years of service.

"Our commitment remains steadfast: to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information that empowers the Filipino citizen," the PCO said.

"Together, let’s foster an informed community that stands against disinformation and strives for a brighter future for the Filipino people!'' it added.

Earlier, President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. stressed that ''fake news has no place in the society we are living in.''

Marcos also mentioned before that the Freedom of Information program "has leveraged available technology and digital platforms to be of greater service to our people." —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA Integrated News
