Marcos: No idea of Palace plot to link Duterte to Alice Guo, POGOs

Marcos: Palace plot Duterte Bato dela Rosa Bong Go Alice Guo POGOs

VIENTIANE—President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. said he didn't know of anyone in Malacañang who planned to link former President Rodrigo Duterte and two allied senators to Alice Guo and POGO-related crimes.

Marcos had been asked about Sen. Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa's allegation at a Senate hearing that someone from Malacañang had tapped Jennifer Francisco alias Mary Maslog to link him, Duterte, and Senator Christopher "Bong" Go to Guo and POGO crimes.

''No, I don't know anything... I don't know who this person is,'' Marcos told the Philippine media delegation.

Citing information that reached him, Dela Rosa said Malacañang had tapped Francisco to link Police Major General Romeo Caramat Jr.

Francisco told the Senate inquiry that she had been asked by the Philippine National Police Intelligence Group (PNP-IG) to talk with Guo, who is facing criminal charges, for her surrender to Philippine authorities.

Maslog was implicated in a P24-million textbook procurement scam in 1998, according to the National Bureau of Investigation.

The NBI on September 25 arrested Francisco and said it established through fingerprints that she was Maslog, whose case was dismissed by the Sandiganbayan after the court was told of her death in 2019. —NB, GMA Integrated News
