PNP launches healthcare plan for police personnel
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday launched a healthcare plan for its police personnel, particularly those who have served between 20 and 24 years
In a ceremony at Discovery Suites Manila, the PNP signed the deal with the Public Safety and Mutual Benefits Fund, Inc. (PSMBFI) and Medicare Plus, Inc.
Under the agreement, Medicare will provide PNP members with comprehensive healthcare services, including in-patient and out-patient care, emergency services, dental care, consultations, laboratory tests, and more.
PNP chief Police General Rommel Marbil pointed out the importance of the partnership, saying, “Our personnel serve and protect the people, and in return, they deserve the best care and support.”
PSMBFI chairperson trustee Benjamin D. Santos said, "Our partnership with Medicare Plus reflects our deep commitment to the well-being of our members who have served our nation for many years. This healthcare plan is our way of showing gratitude and providing them with the security they deserve.”
For her part, Medicare Plus Inc. CEO Ms. Jayjay Viray said, “Together, we are not just alleviating the financial strain of healthcare; we are empowering our communities. We are creating a safety net that ensures everyone has access to the care they deserve.” — Joviland Rita/BM, GMA Integrated News
