Comelec: 2 remaining Miru local partners to submit NFCC
The two remaining firms in the Miru Systems-led joint venture for the automated election system for the 2025 elections will submit their Net Financial Contracting Capacity (NFCC) in the coming week, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
“Ang commitment kasi ng dalawang venture partners sa linggong darating mabibigay na nila sa atin yung committed line of credit mula sa isang commercial bank or bank na nire-require natin upang kahit papaano mapunan na 'yung mismong nawala na galing sa third party na kabilang sa joint venture,” Comelec Chairman George Garcia said Sunday.
(The two venture partners have made a commitment that they will submit the committed line of credit from a commercial bank or bank that we require this week to somehow fill in what was lost from the third party of the joint venture.)
The two other local firms were Integrated Computer Systems and Centerpoint Solutions Technologies, Inc.
They were required to submit their NFCCs after the Comelec accepted the withdrawal of St. Timothy Construction Corporation (STCC) from the joint venture.
The STCC provided the Net Financial Contracting Capacity (NFCC) for the P17.99 billion contract for the new automated election system and automated counting machines for the 2025 polls.
It left the joint venture after Comelec raised concern over information that some of the alleged owners of STCC have supposedly expressed an intent to run for local and national positions in the 2025 polls due to possible conflict of interest. — BM, GMA Integrated News
