Erwin Tulfo seeks Senate seat in 2025 polls
ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo on Sunday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator in the upcoming 2025 Midterm Elections.
Tulfo said if given a seat in the Senate, he would focus on the welfare of the middle class.

“It’s time that we also look at sa mga kababayan natin na hindi masyadong napapansin, yung nasa middle (class). Siguro yung sinisigaw nil na higher wages, more benefits, and I would also like to introduce, if there is a chance, yung retirement benefits yung mga nagtatrabaho sa private sector,” Tulfo said.

Tulfo served as secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development in 2022.
On Saturday his brother Ben Tulfo also filed his COC for senator.
Their other brother is incumbent Senator Raffy Tulfo.
“As long as there is no law yet, we let the people decide,” the former DSWD secretary said
“All of us are always pro-poor, yung plataporma lagi namin pero this time we have marching orders from the administration to continue the programs ng pamahalaan (like) poverty alleviation ,” he added.
On Friday, Tulfo officially joined the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD).
“Rep. Erwin Tulfo is a tremendous asset to both our party and the nation, embodying not only seasoned public service but also courage and integrity,” Romualdez said in a statement released on Sunday.
“Cong. Erwin’s track record speaks for itself, and we are honored to welcome him into Lakas-CMD. His fearless advocacy for the underprivileged and commitment to improving the lives of ordinary Filipinos make him a perfect fit for our mission of nation-building,” He added.
Among the individuals who filed their COCs before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on the sixth day of the filing period are:
