11 party-lists, 10 senatorial aspirants file COCs, CONAs on Day 2


The second day of the week-long filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) concluded with 10 aspiring senators and 11 party-list groups, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Wednesday late afternoon.


Here is the list of 2025 senatorial aspirants who filed their COCs on Wednesday:

1.Victoriano Inte, independent

2. Senator Imee Marcos

3. Former Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III

4. Former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson

5. Senator Senator Lito Lapid

6. Eric Negapatan, independent

7. Magno Manalo, independent

8. Bethsaida Lopez, independent

9. Manuel Andrada, independent

10. Jonry Gargarita, independent

Meanwhile, these are the party-list groups which filed their certificates of nomination and acceptance (CONAs) and are eyeing seats in the House of Representatives:

1. LPG Marketers Association, Inc.

2. Ang Komadrina Inc.

3. United Senior Citizens Koalition ng Pilipinas, Inc.

4. Puwersa ng Pilipinong Pandagat

5. Ibalik ang Kulturang Pamana Movement

6. Barkadahan Para sa Bansa

7. Magdalo Para sa Pilipino Partylist 

8. Vendors Samahan ng mga Naninindigan Pilipino

9. A Teacher

10. Apat-Dapat Partylist

11. Abono Party-list

“Sa ngayon po meron na tayo 27 aspirants para senators and 26 sector organization para sa party-list,” Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said during a media briefing.

(As of today, we  have a total of  27 aspirants for senators and 26 sector organizations for party-lists.)

During the first day of CoC filing, 17 aspiring senators and 11 party-list groups filed their candidacy.

Garcia also noted that no one filed for candidacy in Batanes on Tuesday while two aspirants filed their candidacy on Wednesday.

Batanes extended its voter registration on Tuesday, coinciding with the first day of COC filing, as it was suspended the day before due to Typhoon Julian. —RF, GMA Integrated News
