Chinese man nabbed at NAIA for alleged trafficking, prostitution

The Bureau of Immigration on Tuesday said it intercepted a Chinese citizen who was allegedly involved in human trafficking and prostitution at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Paranaque City.

According to a statement, 52-year-old suspect Du Shuizhong was arrested last September 19. He was immediately brought to the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.

Du was revealed to have been previously charged by the bureau as an undocumented and undesirable foreigner after he was found working for an establishment allegedly involved in prostitution and labor exploitation.

The suspect, who already had a deportation order issued against him in November, will be sent back to China and will be placed on a blacklist to ban him from reentering the Philippines. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
