Comelec delists 42 party-lists for Eleksyon 2025


COMELEC has delisted and cancelled the registration of a total of 42 party-list organizations

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has delisted and cancelled the registration of a total of 42 party-list organizations for the 2025 national and local elections (NLE). 

Under Memorandum No. 241119 issued Tuesday, the poll body said the following groups and coalitions were delisted for failing to participate in the last two elections:

  • 1-ABAA (1-Ako Babaeng Astig Aasenso)
  • Abyan Ilonggo (AI)
  • AKIN (Akbay Kalusugan Inc.)
  • ALON (Adhikaing Alay Ng Marino Sa Sambayanary Inc.)
  • AMANA (Aksyon Ng Mamamayang Nagkakaisa)
  • ANG PDR (Ang Partido Demokratiko Rural)
  • CLASE (Central Luzon Alliance for Socialized Education)
  • KGB (Katipunan ng mga Guardians Brotherhood, Inc.)
  • MELCHORA (Movement of Women For Change And Reform)
  • NACTODAP (National Confederation of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines)
  • PDDS (Pgdglalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan)

Meanwhile, the following organizations failed to obtain at least 2% of the votes cast for the party-list system and failed to obtain a seat in the second round of seat allocation in the last two polls:

  • ABEKA (Abe Kapampangan)
  • ACTS-OFW (Acts Overseas Filipino Workers Coalition of Organization)
  • AKO BISDAK (Ako Bisdak-Bisayang Dako (AB-BD) lnc.)
  • AKMA-PTM (Aksyon Magsasaka-Partido Tinig Ng Masa)
  • AP Partylist (Alliance of Public Transport Organization, Inc.)
  • Anakpawis
  • Ang Kabuhayan
  • ALIF (Ang Laban ng tndiginong Filipino)
  • ANAC-IP (Ang National Coalition of Indigenous Peoples Action Na! Inc.)
  • ANGKLA (Angkla: Ang Partido Ng Mga Pilipinong Marino, Inc.)
  • ABS (Arts Business and Science Professionals)
  • AASENSO (Ating Agapay Sentrong Samahan ng mga Obrero, Inc.)
  • ABANTE PILIPINAS (Avid Builders of Active Nation's Citizenry Towards Empowered Philippines)

“Therefore, by virtue of the powers vested in the Comelec under Republic Act No. 7941, the Commission resolves to delist and cancel the registration of the following party-list groups/ organization and coalitions,” the resolution reads. 

“This resolution is without prejudice to the failure to file a Manifestation of Intent to Participate of retained partylist

groups or organizations, and to the filing of any Petitions for cancellation or disqualification against any party, organization, or coalition and/ or its nominees for the 12 May 2025 National and Local Elections,” it added. 

Meanwhile, Comelec chairperson George Erwin Garcia said at least 160 party-list organizations will be accredited for the 2025 NLE, of which 42 were new groups. 

“Mas mababa kumpara sa mga nakaraang election natin sa party list, ‘yung 42 na bilang na yan at bilang din ang kabuuan ng party-list na magpa-participate sa election sa 2025,” Garcia added. 

(The number of accredited groups  is lower than those accredited in 2022.)
