Marcos: Gov't ready to provide aid to those affected by Julian

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday advised the public to be cautious amid the onslaught of Typhoon Julian.

In his speech during the distribution of condonation and release of mortgage in Paniqui, Tarlac, Marcos guaranteed that the government is ready to provide aid to affected residents.

“Mag-ingat po tayong lahat. Atin pong ipatuloy ang binabantayan na Bagyong Julian, at handang magbigay ang pamahalaan ng tulong sa ating mga kababayang nangangailangan,” Marcos said.

(Let us be cautious. Let us continue to monitor Typhoon Julian. The government is ready to provide assistance to the residents who are in need of assistance.)

In a separate ambush interview, Marcos said the government continues to monitor the situation, noting that the bad weather is expected to intensify.

''So, we are just watching it and seeing what will be needed pagkatapos pagdaan ng bagyo (after the typhoon passes). Hanggang sa ngayon mayroon lang talagang (Until now) --- we’re still having to wait for the water to come down and to do everything for the water to come down,'' Marcos said.

He also mentioned that he was supposed to go to Ilocos on Sunday, however, the bad weather did not permit him.
