Alice Guo has possible lung infection — BJMP
Medical findings have shown that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo is suspected to be suffering from lung infection, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said on Monday.
(But in the medical exam conducted by the Philippine National Police, in the X-ray, there are findings of possible lung infection.)
Due to this, Guo will stay in a cell where three inmates suffering from tuberculosis are isolated.
(Right now, the only cell available is for isolated TB patients so she will stay there for the meantime.)
(Our doctor said that those isolated there have been receiving treatment for TB for almost one month, so she will be mixed there for now so that the general population will be protected also.)
In an ambush interview, Bustinera said Guo will undergo a sputum test to confirm the tuberculosis infection.
(As of today, it is ongoing, her sputum collection or saliva is being taken to be checked in the laboratory and if we find out that it is negative, she will be mixed with the general population.)
Initially, Guo was set to be transferred to a detention facility with 44 inmates in the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.
From the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City, Guo was transferred to the Pasig City Jail at 9:14 a.m. Monday. Her convoy exited the detention facility in Camp Crame at 8:49 a.m.
Due to security concerns, Guo's camp hoped that she would remain in the custody of the PNP.
Guo's transfer was ordered by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court-Branch 167, which is hearing her non-bailable case of qualified human trafficking. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
