PH ranks 45th out of 89 in Best Countries list

The Philippines has dropped two places, landing 45th out of 89 nations in the “Best Countries List” in the latest annual rankings by the US News and World Report.

According to a "24 Oras" report on Friday, the survey was conducted by 17,000 individuals worldwide.

The Philippines and all other participating countries were ranked and graded based on 73 different attributes that can be linked to a successful and modern hospital.

Based on the data, the Philippines had a 25.0 overall total score, and landed 19th place in “Open for Business,” which meant cheaper costs and tax for businessmen in the country.

Switzerland topped the list with a score of 100.0, making it the “Best Country for 2024.”

Japan came second on the list with a 96.6 score, while the United States placed third with a 94.2 score.

The ranking system used was developed by global marketing and communications services company WPP and its proprietary BAV brand analytics tool, and by Professor David Reibstein of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
