Quiboloy’s health ‘okay’ —PNP


Quiboloy's health is ok according to the daily assessment of the Philippine National Police General Hospital

The condition of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who appealed for a hospital arrest, is “okay” based on the daily assessment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) General Hospital, the PNP said on Wednesday.

“So far naman sa everyday nilang assessment kay Apollo Quiboloy, he is okay according to the [PNP General Hospital],” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said in a press briefing.

Quiboloy underwent medical examinations over the weekend. 

Fajardo said the official medical findings will be forwarded to the Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159, which will decide on the motion of Quiboloy for a hospital arrest.

“According to the servicing lawyer ng [PNP Headquarters Support Service], as soon as they will receive the official copy of the medical assessment, it will be immediately forwarded sa regional trial court of Pasig po,” explained Fajardo.

Quiboloy is currently detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Quiboloy during an arraignment asked the Pasig court for his transfer to Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Davao City. 

In response to the motion, the judge required the PNP to facilitate Quiboloy medical checkup with government doctors.

Arrest warrants were issued against Quiboloy and others for alleged violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act as well as qualified human trafficking.

Quiboloy and his other co-accused pleaded not guilty to these cases.

He has also been indicted by a federal grand jury in the US District Court for the Central District of California for conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion and sex trafficking of children; sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling.

Quiboloy's camp has repeatedly denied the allegations against him. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
