MRT-3, LRT-2 offer free rides for gov't workers from September 18-20
Good news awaits government employees as the Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit2 (LRT-2) will be offering free rides for them from September 18 to 20 in celebration of the 124th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.
Civil servants should present employee IDs to station personnel to avail of the free ride service.
For MRT-3 passengers, the offer will be available during the whole operation hours of the train system.
The North Avenue Station starts operations at 4:30 a.m. while the Taft Avenue Station opens at 5:05 a.m. The last train set leaves North Avenue Station at 9:30 p.m. while Taft Avenue Station closes at 10:09 p.m.
(We would like to extend our gratitude to all government employees who have served with integrity for the welfare of the public.)
(The goal of the free MRT-3 ride is to bring a little joy to them as a token of our admiration and appreciation for their sacrifices. Long live the government workers.)
On the other hand, LRT-2 passengers can avail of the free rides from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
