P6.84M kush seized by BOC-NAIA


BOC-NAIA seized parcels containing over P6 million worth of high-grade marijuana in Pasay City.

Operatives of the Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) have seized parcels containing over P6 million worth of high-grade marijuana or kush in Pasay City.

In a statement on Saturday, the BOC said operatives of the Port District of NAIA, in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), intercepted four parcels with 4,877 grams of kush at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City on September 12, 2024.

The seized marijuana has a total estimated street value of P6,839,560.

Also found were seven vape cartridges containing cannabis oil with an estimated street value of P11,760.

The BOC said all the confiscated items are now in the custody of PDEA, and the consignees will be subjected to further investigation and filing of charges under Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act No. 10863 (Customs Modernization and Tariff Act).
