Quiboloy to remain in Camp Crame, co-accused transferred to Pasig Jail

Quiboloy will remain in Camp Crame due to security risk.

The four co-accused of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy in his qualified human trafficking case will be transferred to the Pasig City Jail.

Quiboloy, meanwhile, will remain in Camp Crame, due to "security risk."

That's according to Mark Makalalad’s report on Super Radyo dzBB on Friday. This was confirmed by Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jayrex Bustinera.

KOJC legal counsel Atty. Israelito Torreon said Quiboloy's four accused are Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Ingrid Canada, and Sylvia Cemane.

Roy, Cresente, Ingrid, and Cemane will be transferred from Camp Crame to the Pasig Jail. Paulene, who was arrested in July, is already in Pasig.

Another co-accused Paulene Canada, who was arrested in Davao City in July, has been already detained in Pasig jail, he added.

According to Bustinera, they prepared for the arrival of the four accused.

“Beforehand, nag inspect na rin tayo ng facilities dito at ‘yung selda pag lalagyan nung mga co-accused,” he told Super Radyo dzBB.

(Beforehand, we inspected the facilities here and the cells that the accused will be placed in.)

“Ito naman ay both male and female dormitory na mag katabi lamang at ready naman ang facilities at ang BJMP personnel natin

(There are male and female dormitories here and they’re beside each other. Both our facilities and BJMP personnel are ready.)

Quiboloy and his co-accused earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Asked if he had any message to his followers, Quiboloy said, “tatag lang, tatag lang (be steadfast, just be steadfast)."

He is expected to be arraigned before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 106 on Friday afternoon for charges under Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act and under Section 10(a) of the same act in the afternoon.

Aside from his legal troubles in the Philippines, Quiboloy is also facing charges of conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, and sex trafficking of children; conspiracy; and bulk cash smuggling in the United States.

Quiboloy surrendered to authorities in Davao City over the weekend after he was given an ultimatum to turn himself in within 24 hours. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
