'Tatag lang': Quiboloy's message to followers as he awaits arraignment

"Tatag lang, tatag lang."

That was Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy's message to his followers on Friday morning as he waited for his arraignment at the Pasig City court.

Quiboloy arrived at the Pasig City court at 7:40 a.m. after leaving Camp Crame at 7:18 a.m.

The KOJC founder is facing trafficking in persons case, a non-bailable offense.

However, the megachurch disputed the allegations of human trafficking within its organization.

“One of the cardinal rules in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ which is the most important of all rules is your freedom of choice or your freedom to choose,” it said on Thursday. “So that means anything you do or anything that happens to you, may you be a missionary worker or Kingdom member is your own voluntary will or choice.”

Quiboloy was caught by authorities on Sunday, although his camp claims that he surrendered.

His lawyer Israelito Torreon earlier said that Quiboloy hid in the mountains of Davao City.

Quiboloy and others were also scheduled to virtually attend another arraignment at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 106 on Friday afternoon.

Child abuse cases were filed against them in the Quezon City court.
