Day 2 of 2024 Bar Exams 'proceeded smoothly' — SC

Despite dismal weather in some parts of Metro Manila and the provinces, the second day of the 2024 Bar exams on September 11, Wednesday 'proceeded smoothly', the Supreme Court (SC) announced on Thursday.

According to the high court, Associate Justice and Bar Examinations Chairperson Mario Lopez visited various local testing centers to monitor the ongoing examinations.

“As I visited several local testing centers, I witnessed firsthand the fighting spirit of our examinees. I reminded them that #BarNiJLo2024 is designed to be ‘exacto lang’— neither too difficult nor too easy,” Lopez said in a statement.

“I am pleased to inform that Day 2 proceeded smoothly across all centers, with no significant incidents,” he added.

The SC said that the examination for the second day was about Civil Law and Labor Law and Social Legislations.

This year's exams began on September 8, Sunday while the final day will be a week later on September 15.

The SC said the exams will be on Criminal Law in the morning and Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises.

“As we approach Day 3, despite the looming threat of gloomy weather, I pray for clear skies and unwavering resolve for our examinees as they march towards the last stretch of their #MostValuableLaban,” he said.

Lopez previously said the results would be released by December.—RF, GMA Integrated News
