First Lady Liza trips during Marcos Day celeb
First Lady Louise ''Liza'' Araneta-Marcos tripped while walking towards the wreath-laying ceremony to remember the 107th birth anniversary of the late President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. in Batac City, Ilocos Norte on Wednesday morning.
In the video, President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. and his wife were seen holding hands while walking after attending a Mass.
The First Lady tripped on uneven pavement. The President immediately assisted her.
After the incident, she stopped for a while but continued to walk with the President.
The First Lady was able to join the program and listen to her husband's speech. She was also there during the photo opportunity.
Mrs. Marcos also attended the ''Natnateng Cook-Off Showdown,'' a culinary event that showcased various signature vegetables dishes in the Province of Ilocos Norte as part of the Marcos Day Celebration.
