Quiboloy flown to NCR, taken to Camp Crame

Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was flown to Metro Manila on Sunday evening and was taken via convoy to the PNP Custodial Facility Camp Crame, according to a Super Radyo dzBB report.

According to dzBB's Olan Bola, the convoy included several Philippine National Police vehicles, two coaster vehicles, and several civilian vehicles with emergency lights.

In another report, Bola said that from Davao City, the plane believed to be carrying Quiboloy landed at the Villamor Air Base at 8:38 p.m.

From there, a convoy traveled using the EDSA busway going to Camp Crame.

Bola said despite efforts, no one confirmed that Quiboloy was in the convoy.

However, in a later press conference, PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo confirmed that Quiboloy had been brought there. She also said that he surrendered after the PNP issued an ultimatum that he must turn himself in within 24 hours.

Bola also said Camp Crame was heavily guarded and the media was barred from entering its premises.

According to his lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Quiboloy surrendered to the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City on Sunday evening.

The KOJC leader is facing charges under Section 5(b) and Section 10(a) of  Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse,  Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.

He is also facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge under Section 4(a) of  Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, before a Pasig court.

Quiboloy went into hiding shortly after the Senate issued an arrest order against him for refusing to attend the chamber's hearings.

In June, the PNP went to the KOJC compound to serve arrest warrants issued by the court but police did not find Quiboloy there.

Last August 24, the PNP deployed 2,000 personnel to serve the arrest warrants again at the KOJC compound. Due to the vastness of the compound, it took awhile for the police to search the area. Using special equipment such as ground penetrating radar, police detected heartbeat from an underground bunker inside the compound.
