PAOCC: No cases filed vs Wesley Guo yet

PAOCC: No cases filed vs Wesley Guo yet

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) said Sunday that, so far, no cases had been filed against Wesley Guo, the supposed brother of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.

In a Kapihan sa QC  forum, PAOCC spokesperson Winston John Casio said that only Alice Guo and her supposed siblings Shiela and Seimen, as well as their alleged parents Lin Wen Yi and Angelito Guo, have pending cases.

“Alam  niyo si Wesley, wala pa hong naisasampang kaso diyan. Ang may kaso pa  lamang ay si Shiela, si Alice, at saka si Siemen, at saka ‘yung kanilang supposed magulang o tita, si Angelito Guo-–tatay ni Alice—at si Lin Wen Yi, ‘yung tita ni Shiela,” Casio said.

(There are no cases filed against Wesley yet. Those who have cases are Shiela, Alice, Siemen, and  their supposed parents, Angelito Guo and Lin Wen Yi.)

The Guos’ legal counsel, Attorney Stephen David, earlier said that Wesley wanted to surrender to authorities following the arrest of Alice Guo in  Indonesia.

David, however, said he didn't know Wesley’s whereabouts.

According to Casio, Wesley sent surrender feelers to other agencies but not to the PAOCC.

“They have not sent feelers to us. Apparently, kasi mahigpit nga siguro kami  [maybe because we’re strict]. They have sent feelers to other agencies.  Hayaan na lang nating mag-develop itong kwentong ito [let’s just allow  this story to develop],” he added.

Interior Secretary Benhur  Abalos on Saturday confirmed that authorities were working on the possible surrender of Wesley Guo, saying that an “ongoing team” was handling the matter.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI), meanwhile, said that Indonesian authorities were looking for Wesley so they could also extradite him to the Philippines.

Authorities earlier said that Wesley, who was among the personalities the Senate had ordered arrested, had attempted to fly to Hong Kong during the last week of August.

According to Alice and Wesley's supposed sister  Shiela, the three of them left the Philippines via three boat rides to  Malaysia. From there, they flew to Singapore. They then made their way to Batam,  Indonesia on a ferry.

Shiela said she parted ways with Wesley and Alice in Batam, Indonesia. Indonesian authorities arrested Shiela and Cassandra Li Ong in Batam.

Ong is Wesley's supposed girlfriend and the authorized representative of  Lucky South 99, a raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Porac, Pampanga.

Alice Guo is currently facing a human trafficking complaint stemming from the raid on the POGO compound in Bamban, as well as a money laundering complaint before the Department of  Justice (DOJ).

A quo warranto petition had also been filed against her before a Manila court, as well as a petition to cancel her birth certificate before a Tarlac court after authorities found out she was also the Chinese citizen Guo Hua Ping.

The DOJ said that a complaint for violation of the Immigration Law would be filed against  Sheila Guo, while several complaints would be filed against Ong. The raps include obstruction of justice and the violation of the Passport Act. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
