Marcos to new PCO chief Chavez: Tell the truth

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said he has only one instruction for Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez and that is to tell the truth.

“I have full trust that he will continue to serve with the same dedication and excellence that he has demonstrated in over three decades of public service; ensuring that the work we do is communicated effectively and immediately to the Filipino people,” Marcos said.

“My only instruction to him: Just tell the truth,” the President added.

Marcos said he is the sixth president that Chavez has served, noting that this speaks volumes of the man’s capabilities.

“In these six successive administrations, he has performed exceedingly well in various positions in government. We even worked alongside each other as former members of the 1992 Congress,” Marcos said.

Chavez took oath before the President on Thursday, September 5. He replaced lawyer and former journalist Cheloy Garafil who will serve as MECO chairman. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
