Newly-designated Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cesar Chavez on Thursday said he wants to establish a digital hotline, which will ensure that announcements on class and work suspensions will be made before 4 in the morning.

''In that digital hotline kasama ang Office of the Executive Secretary, Office of Civil Defense, PMS, PAGASA, Office of the Presidential Communications Office, even including the appointment secretary and the DILG and MMDA... ang task nito, bago mag-4 ng umaga dapat may announcement na kung kinakailangan magbigay ng announcement ang Office of the President,'' Chavez told reporters.

Chavez took his oath before President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. today, September 5.

Earlier, Marcos said he tasked concerned government agencies to ensure that early advisories would be given as to the suspension of classes and work due to bad weather.

The President said he wants the public to know if work and classes would be canceled the following day before they go to sleep at night so they could make the necessary adjustments. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
