New PCO chief vows to take active role on messaging re WPS issues
Newly-designated Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cesar Chavez on Thursday vowed to take an active role in the communications process of the Marcos administration, especially when it comes to issues about the West Philippine Sea,
Speaking to Palace reporters, Chavez expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. for his new designation as PCO chief.
''I thanked the President for another opportunity to serve this country, this government, maliwanag ho ang aking task dito [my task here is clear], to communicate for the presidency, communicate for the government, to communicate for the state,'' Chavez said.
''On one side, I'll take an active role on messaging and communicating on our policies related to West Philippine Sea. I'll also focus on bringing you the news, you can also scrutinize on the infrastructure projects of the President,'' he added.
