Wesley Guo wants to surrender to authorities, says Alice Guo's lawyer

Wesley Guo, who is said to be the brother of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, wants to surrender to the authorities, according to their legal counsel Stephen David.

"Gusto niya sumurrender na," David told reporters in an ambush interview.

David said Wesley intimated this after the lawyer talked with the dismissed mayor.

Asked if they already coordinated with the authorities on Wesley's supposed surrender, David said, "Hindi ko muna yan sasabihin [I won't disclose anything], pero we're working on that."

While Wesley expressed his willingness to surrender, David said he doesn't know his whereabouts.

"Hindi ko alam...Kahit tanungin mo hindi ka naman sasagutin n'un," he said.

Authorities earlier said that Wesley, who is among the personalities ordered arrested by the Senate, had attempted to fly to Hong Kong last week of August.

Earlier Wednesday, Immigration officials said Indonesian authorities have been looking for Wesley.

"They pledged na ito ay matapos at maibalik itong si Mayor Alice Guo even ‘yung…kapatid niyang lalaki…si Wesley, ‘yun ay kasama rin sa mga mino-monitor nila at gusto rin nilang maibalik agad," Sandoval said in an Unang Balita interview.

According to Alice and Wesley's supposed sister Shiela, the three of them left the Philippines via three boat rides going to Malaysia. From there, they flew to Singapore then went to Batam, Indonesia via ferry.

Shiela said she parted ways with Wesley and Alice in Batam, Indonesia where she and Cassandra Li Ong were arrested.
