Cesar Chavez to take oath as PCO chief


Cesar Chavez is set to take his oath as acting Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office.

Senior Undersecretary for Strategic Communications Cesar Chavez is set to take his oath as acting Secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Thursday afternoon. 

This was confirmed to GMA Integrated News by a Palace source. 

The same source also told GMA News Online that the oath taking would be administered by President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr.

Chavez will replace lawyer and former journalist Cheloy Garafil, who is set to lead the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) in Taiwan. 

Garafil is also set to take oath for her new post this afternoon.

The PCO is set to release an official statement on the matter. — VAL/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
