SC: Work in courts, offices in NCR, Calabarzon suspended on Sept. 3

SC: Work in courts, offices in NCR, Calabarzon suspended on Sept. 3

The Supreme Court (SC) has announced that work in all courts and offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Calabarzon are suspended on September 3, Tuesday, amid Tropical Storm Enteng.

In a statement, the court said skeleton forces in the Docket Receiving of the SC Judicial Records Office and Cash Collection and Disbursement Division, SC Fiscal Management, and Budget Office should be maintained.

Courts and offices in NCR and Calabarzon, however, should be accessible through their respective hotline numbers and official emails, according to the SC.

“All concerned judges and clerks of courts should observe the protocols on disaster reportorial and response mechanisms,” it said.

“Judges should also monitor the condition of their court premises to determine or conduct any required clean-up operation or repair/rehabilitation work,” it added.

The high court said this is in view of the announcement of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin suspending work in government offices in both regions.

Meanwhile, in separate posts on X (formerly Twitter), the SC said court operations in the following areas are also suspended due to inclement weather:

  • All courts in Santiago City, Isabela
  • All courts in the province of La Union
  • All courts in the province of Bataan

As of Monday morning, PAGASA said Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 was raised over six areas in Luzon due to Enteng.

Airport authorities have also cancelled some flights for Tuesday. —KBK, GMA Integrated News
