DSWD: Relief supplies enough for Enteng-hit families
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has started distributing relief goods to communities affected by Tropical Storm Enteng, saying there are enough supplies for those who need help.
According to the DSWD, there are over 1.074 million family food packs stored in their rescue hubs in Pasay City and Cebu City, as well as in their field offices.
There are also P1.029-billion worth of food and non-food items ready to be distributed, based on an Unang Balita report.
Among those who received assistance were communities in Camarines Sur and Albay. Relief operations were also conducted in several areas affected by the tropical cyclone in Northern Samar.
At the National Capital Region (NCR), boxes of family food packs were also prepared to be distributed in Pasig City and Marikina City.
Based on the 8 a.m. PAGASA report, six areas are under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 as Enteng continued to move over the West Philippine Sea (WPS) on Tuesday morning.
