Marcos welcomes improved trust, performance rating

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. welcomed the improvement in his trust and performance rating as shown in a latest OCTA survey result.

''It is more na 'yun na lang nakikita na we're really doing our best to alleviate the hardships na dinadaanan ng mga tao,'' Marcos told Palace reporters.

(It is more that it is seen that we’re really doing our best to alleviate the hardships of the people.)

''So it's good [to] have that kind of result or statistic behind you and again, every time this happens as far as I'm concerned, it seems to be people are beginning to understand what we are trying to do, they're beginning to feel the effects of it,'' he added.

Marcos vowed that his administration would do more for the country.

Released on Tuesday, the second quarter Tugon ng Masa (TNM) Survey showed that 71% of adult Filipinos said they trust Marcos, which is 2% higher than the 69% recorded in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte's numbers slipped in the latest results of the OCTA survey. Her trust rating went down from 68% to 65%. —RF, GMA Integrated News
