PH, Indonesia had eyes on Guos for a week
Philippine and Indonesian authorities have monitored the entry to Indonesia of former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo and her companions since last week, according to GMA Integrated News sources in John Consulta's report on "24 Oras."
Surveillance showed that Guo, her two siblings, and Lucky South 99 representative Cassandra Li Ong arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last July 18.
In another photo taken last July 21, the dismissed mayor can be seen carrying a pink bag together with another lady at the airport in Malaysia.
From Malaysia, they went to Singapore and stayed there for quite some time before taking a ferry to Batam, Indonesia.
Based on the surveillance photos from Indonesia's Immigration, Ong and Sheila Guo were caught alighting from a vehicle in a parking lot last August 20.
At 6 p.m. of the same day, the two women were taken into the custody of Indonesian authorities.
The report said Ong and Sheila were put under custody due to “undesirability and misrepresentation.”
A Chinese passport was also seized from the former Bamban mayor’s sister, the report also said.
Indonesian authorities, along with Filipino immigration agents and the National Bureau of Immigration (NBI) also had a meeting to discuss Guo and his brother Wesley.
Ong and Shiela were flown back to the Philippines on Thursday and were directly brought to the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters.
the NBI will coordinate with the Senate and House regarding the arrest orders they issued.
The Senate Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms is already in coordination with the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) for the serving of arrest orders against Guo's sister.
Sheila is among the personalities ordered arrested by the Senate last July.
The House of Representatives issued an order to take custody of Ong as she has been slapped with a contempt order for her continued failure to attend the investigation of POGO-related crimes.—Vince Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
