PAOCC: Alice Guo's 'brother' Wesley no longer in Indonesia
Wesley Guo, said to be the brother of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is no longer in Indonesia, Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) spokesperson Dr. Winston Casio said Thursday.
“Ayon sa mga balitang natanggap at ulat na natanggap natin mula sa ating mga counterpart sa Indonesia ay apparently ‘yung lalaki, si Wesley Guo, ay nasa ibang bansa na raw po,” Casio said in a Zoom briefing.
(According to the news and reports we've received from our counterparts in Indonesia, it appears that the man, Wesle Guo, is already in another country.)
“Kung saang bansa ay undisclosed pa po ito,” he added.
(As for what country, this is still undisclosed.)
Senator Risa Hontiveros previously bared that Guo, who was also identified as Chinese national Guo Hua Ping, had left the country on July 18.
Casio said that Guo went to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 18 and then flew for Singapore on July 21.
There, she reportedly met up with her father Guo Jian Zhong, mother Lin Wen Yi, her brother Wesley Guo and Cassandra Ong, the named representative of the raided POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga Lucky South 99.
On August 18, she traveled from Singapore to Batam, Indonesia via ferry.
Meanwhile, Casio said that they believe that Guo is still in Indonesia.
“Ngayon, si Alice Leal Guo ay hindi nila namataan kahapon hanggang kanina doon sa Batam, Indonesia,” Casio said.
(As for Alice Leal Guo, she was not sighted yesterday until earlier today at Batam, Indonesia.)
“Pero wala rin silang sinabi na nakalabas na ito ng bansa. So malakas ang aming paniniwala na si Alice Leal Guo, si Guo Hua Ping, nasa loob pa ng Indonesia,” he added.
(But they did not tell us that she had left. So we believe that Alice Leal Gou, or Guo Hua Ping, is still in Indonesia.)
Indonesian authorities earlier arrested Cassandra Li Ong — the authorized representative of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) that was raided in Porac, Pampanga — and Guo’s sister, Sheila Guo.
Casio said Philippine immigration offices have left for Indonesia to bring them back to the country.
They are expected to arrive on Thursday afternoon.
The Senate said it is already in coordination with the Manila International Airport Authority for the serving of arrest orders against Guo's sister while the House has issued an order to take custody of Ong. —NB, GMA Integrated News
