VP Sara: We have responsibility to stand vs terrorism

In observance of the International Day of Remembrance, Sara Duterte called on the public to honor and remember the victims of violence due to terroris

Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday said that terrorism remains a threat in the country, thus the entire nation should take responsibility to stand against it.

In observance of the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Duterte called on the public to honor and remember the victims of violence due to terrorism, which she said still prevails despite efforts to fight it for the sake of the youth’s welfare and future.

(Setting aside the threat of terrorism would trample on the memory of its victims. It will also show our weakness, fear, and lack of commitment to give justice to these victims of terrorism.)

(Let’s not forget that as a nation, we have a responsibility to stand against terrorism. Together, let's promote a strong, peaceful, and a terrorism-free community.)

Duterte was a co-vice chairperson of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) until she resigned, effective July 19, 2024. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
