Ruling PFP says there's no admin senatorial ticket yet

The president of the ruling Partido Federal ng Pilipinas on Monday night denied that the administration alliance Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas has finalized its senatorial line-up for Eleksyon 2025.

In a statement, PFP president South Cotabato Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr. said that what the representatives of the coalition parties agreed on Monday was the submission of the names of their preferred candidates before September 15.

Sen. Imee Marcos earlier shared a list of personalities that she said would be candidates for the administration in Eleksyon 2025. They came from the ranks of the PFP, the Lakas-CMD, the Nacionalista Party, and the Nationalist People's Coalition.

"Kaya ang anumang umiikot na listahan ay walang katotohanan," Tamayo said.

"Kami ay magbibigay ng anunsiyo ng senatorial line up ng administration pagkatapos itong mapagpasyahan ng lahat na kasapi ng Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas," he added.

(Whatever list is going around isn't true. We will announce the senatorial line-up of the administration when this is decided by all members of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.)

A stalwart of the NPC told GMA News Online said the list was true except for one name.

Surigao Del Norte Rep. Ace Barbers said the NPs on the list were indeed their party's candidates.

Told of the Tamayo's denial, Imee said, "Ngek. Dineny ni Gov Tamayo! Wala naman kase ako dun sa meeting, pinamalita lang ng mga umattend."

(Gov Tamayo denied. I wasn't there at the meeting. I was just informed by those who attended.) —NB, GMA Integrated News
