Sandro Muhlach tells Senate panel of incident with Nones, Cruz
Actor Sandro Muhlach on Monday narrated before a Senate committee what transpired in a hotel room between him and independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Sandro testified before the Senate Committee on Public Information via video teleconference hours after he filed a rape complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation against the said contractors of GMA.
GMA Network has placed the two contractors on preventive suspension and is investigating Sandro's complaint against them.
Monday was the first time Sandro appeared in public to address the incident allegedly on July 21 early morning.
Sandro initially confirmed before the committee his exchange of messages that morning with Nones, who later said he was with "drama people" in the room.
He said he met Nones and Cruz, whom he said was quite drunk at that time.
Sandro balked at revealing sensitive details and the committee convened in executive session.
After the executive session, Estrada continued his interpellation where he asked Sandro what he felt when he drank the wine and when he was asked by Nones and Cruz to "sniff" something.
"Tuloy tuloy ang pag-inom mo ng wine hanggat malasing ka. Nanghina ka ba?" Estrada asked, to which Sandro answered in the affirmative.
Estrada continued his inquiry and asked Sandro, "Nu'ng pinapasinghot ka nitong dalawa, ano ang nararamdaman mo? Were you high? Nanghina ka ba?"
Sandro responded, "Minanhid po ako, your honor."
Estrada then asked Sandro if the sexual harassment occurred when he lay down in bed, to which the young actor said, "Hindi po ako nag lie down. Hinila po ako sa bed."
Sandro claimed that it was Nones who pulled him to bed.
"[Si] Jojo Nones po. Napahiga po ako," Sandro recalled.
"That started everything," Estrada asked.
"Yes po, your honor," Sandro said. —NB, GMA Integrated News
