Bato dela Rosa 'worried' over alleged tapping of his phone

Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa said on Monday that he was worried as his phone was being tapped "for a few months."

“If you are worried that your phone is being tapped or monitored, I am also worried with my cellphone. I’ve been a police officer; I know my phone is being tapped right now. I am very sure of that,” dela Rosa said at a Senate Public Order and Dangerous Drugs committee hearing.

However, the senator had no idea who was tapping his phone, nor did he know the technology used to access his cell.

“Pero I know, feel na feel ko na tina-tap 'yung cellphone ko for a couple of months now. Kung sino ang may capability niyan, I just don’t know kung sino, but, I am sure. I am pretty sure," he added.

Dela Rosa's allegations came after the Kingdom of Jesus Christ legal counsel Israelito Torreon raised his concern before the committee that their "phones are being listened to."

"There must be court orders for the installation of listening devices. We have reasons to believe that even our ‘I love yous’ to our wives and our secret conversations on our phones are being listened to," Torreon said.
