Parts of Metro Manila flooded due to Carina, Habagat
Downpour caused by Tropical Cyclone Carina and Habagat caused flooding in various parts of Metro Manila on Tuesday.
According to a report from Super Radyo dzBB, a portion of G. Araneta Avenue in Quezon City was impassable due to floods at around 1 p.m.
Flood also reached waist level in Barangay Sto. Domingo also in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, a toppled tree affected traffic in Barangay Sikatuna Village.

In Marikina City, the river swelled 14 meters and is now near reaching the first alarm.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) also reported that two road sections in Mandaluyong City are only passable to heavy vehicles.

- Boni Avenue, Maysilo Circle, 30-cm flood level
Meanwhile, some road sections in Metro Manila remain passable despite the flood:
City of Manila
- Blumentritt Road cor. P. Margal and P. Florentino, 20-cm flood level
- Mel Lopez Boulevard cor. C2 and Moriones, 10-cm flood level
Pasay City
- Taft Avenue north bound near Arellano University, 5-cm flood level
- EDSA cor. Taft Avenue, 10-cm flood level
Quezon City
- Elliptical Road near cor. Quezon Avenue, 20-cm flood level
Regions
Flooding also hit several provinces due to heavy rains.
DPWH said road sections in Zamboanga Peninsula were closed amid the downpour:
- Zamboanga City Bypass Road, Barangay Malagutay Section due to landslide
- Jct. Aurora – Ozamis City Road in Barangay Inasagan, Zamboanga del Sur due to soil collapse
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Mindanao now has a total of eight fatalities due to the recent weather disturbances.
Signal No. 2 is currently raised over Batanes as Carina slightly intensified, according to the State weather bureau PAGASA's 11am bulletin.
