Marcos 'fine-tuning' his SONA speech

Marcos said that his speech for the State of the Nation Address next week is already done.

ILOCOS NORTE - President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday said that his speech for the State of the Nation Address next week is already done, adding that his camp is just doing some ''fine-tuning.''

Marcos said this during an interview with reporters at the sidelines of the distribution of presidential assistance to farmers and fisherfolks in Apayao province.

''Tuloy tuloy pero 'yung kabuuan ng speech ko, tapos na. Fine-tuning na lang ang ginagawa namin. Aayusin namin 'yan lahat bukas at saka hanggang Linggo para maging handa sa SONA sa Lunes,'' Marcos said.

(It's ongoing, but the speech is already done. We are just doing some fine-tuning. We'll fix it tomorrow until Sunday, so we'll be ready for SONA on Monday.)

The President did not provide further details on the content of his third address to the nation.

Congress will open its third regular session on Monday, July 22. Marcos will deliver his third SONA in the afternoon of the same day.

Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil earlier said Radio Television Malacañang would direct Marcos' third SONA.

Speaker Martin Romualdez has assured that the House of Representatives is “more than ready” for the SONA. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
