Erwin Tulfo keeps lead in OCTA's senatorial survey


ACT-CIS party-list Representative Erwin Tulfo maintained the lead in the senatorial survey of OCTA Research for the 2025 national and local elections.

Results of the pollster's Tugon ng Masa survey showed that 58% of Filipino adults would vote for Tulfo if he were to run for senator at the time of the survey period, which was from June 26 to July 1.

There were 1,200 male and female respondents aged 18 and above who were interviewed for the study, with a ±3 margin of error at a 95% confidence level.

The respondents were asked to choose up to 12 names from a list in answering a question on who they would vote for if the 2025 senatorial elections were held today.

Meanwhile, Erwin Tulfo was followed by his brother, Ben Tulfo, and Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go, who were tied at 45% for the second to fourth spots.

Next was former Senate President Vicente Sotto III for the second to fifth spot, with a voting preference of 44%.

Further, 39% of respondents said they would vote for Senator Pilar Juliana "Pia" Cayetano, landing her in the fourth to ninth spot.

She was followed by Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., who received 38% for the fifth to 10th spot.

Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, Senator Francis Tolentino, and former Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson were all tied for the fifth to 11th spot with 36%, 34%, and 34%, respectively.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte, meanwhile, got 33% for the sixth to 13th spot.

The survey results also showed that former senator Manny Pacquiao received 32% for the seventh to 14th spot.

Senator Imee Marcos and former senator Lito Lapid tied with 28% for the 10th to 16 spot, followed by Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos with 27% for the 11th to 16 place.

Meanwhile, former Manila mayor Isko Moreno and Makati Mayor Abigail "Abby" Binay were also tied for the 12th to 18th spot with a 23% voting preference.

Erwin Tulfo also topped Pulse Asia's senatorial preference survey conducted from June 17 to 24. — VDV, GMA Integrated News
