Marcos already finalizing SONA speech, PCO says

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is already preparing for his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 22.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Wednesday, Marcos is finalizing his speech.

The PCO said Marcos has no schedule today, July 17, to prepare for his SONA.

Speaker Martin Romualdez has assured that the House of Representatives is “more than ready” for the SONA.

Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil earlier said Radio Television Malacañang would direct Marcos' third SONA.

During Monday’s final interagency meeting, the arrival scenario and security measures were discussed as concerned officials ensured that a comprehensive plan was in place to maintain order during the event. --VAL/VBL, GMA Integrated News
