SC gets more than 12K applicants for 2024 Bar exams


The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it received a total of 12,246 applications for the 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations.

In its notice, the Office of the 2024 Bar Chairperson Associate Justice Mario V. Lopez said it will release the lists of unconditionally approved, conditionally approved, and denied applicants in batches.

“All applicants are advised to regularly check their respective Bar Applicant Registration Information System and Tech Assistance (BARISTA) accounts to know the status of their application,” the notice read.

The Supreme Court said it is finalizing the list of Local Testing Centers (LTCs) in the following cities:

NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION

1. City of Manila

2. Muntinlupa City

3. Pasay City

4. Quezon City

5. Taguig City

 

LUZON

1. Baguio City

2. Naga City

 

VISAYAS

1. Cebu City

2. Iloilo City

3. Tacloban City

 

MINDANAO

1. Cagayan de Oro City

2. Davao City

 

 

The SC said Bar Bulletin No. 3 will be released soon with the complete details of the LTCs, the General Guidelines for the Digital Modality of the 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations, and the schedules for registration with and downloading Examplify and taking Sample Exams.

Applicants will also then be able to check their assigned LTCs in the BARISTA following the release of Bar Bulletin No. 3.

The SC said applicants with deferred documents must ensure their respective deferred documents are uploaded in the BARISTA and submitted to the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) on or before October 15, 2024.

“Failure to upload and submit all necessary deferred documents within the deadline will result in disqualification,” it said, adding that the list of deferred documents is provided in Bar Bulletin No. 2, Series of 2024.
