Gabriela's Arlene Brosas announces 2025 senatorial bid

House Assistant Minority Leader and Gabriela party-list Representative Arlene Brosas announced Tuesday that she will be joining the Senate race for the 2025 elections. 

“Tayo ngayon ay lalahok sa kampanya para sa Senado (We will join the Senate race),” said Brosas, describing herself as an “alternative” candidate in the midterm elections. 

She will be part of the slate of the Makabayan bloc.

“Bitbit natin ang agenda ng kababaihan, bata, at bayan. Bitbit natin ang politika ng pagbabago, bitbit natin ang tiwala at suporta ninyo. Handa na tayong sumuong sa Eleksyon 2025,” she said. 

(We will advocate for women, children, and the nation. We will be bringing with us the politics of change, with your trust and support. We are ready to join the 2025 elections.) 

Last week, the Makabayan bloc said it will be fielding 12 senatorial candidates that will fight for the interest of the people in the 2025 elections.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
