Palace confirms preventive suspension of NCSC chairman Quijano

Malacañang has confirmed the preventive suspension of National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) chairman Franklin Quijano over alleged gross neglect of duty and grave misconduct.

This was confirmed to GMA News Online by Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil on Wednesday evening.

No further details were given by the PCO chief. 

The order, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin last July 9, stated that Quijano is preventively suspended for a period of 90 days.

Asked for comment on the issue, Quijano told GMA News Online that ''as of the moment, it is best to make no comment.''
