4 dead, 2 rescued in Antipolo landslide —BFP

Four people were reported dead while two others were rescued after a landslide in Antipolo City in Rizal, the Bureau of Fire Protection’s (BFP) Antipolo City Fire Station said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Antipolo City Fire Station said the landslide occurred in Barangay Dela Paz.

“The team tirelessly worked hand in hand and managed to rescue two people alive and was able to retrieve four casualties trapped under the soil and mud. The entire operation only lasted for two hours,” the Antipolo City Fire Station said.

“This station would like to express our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims,” it added.

According to the Antipolo City Fire Station, the landslide incident was turned over to the Antipolo City Police Station for further investigation.  --VAL, GMA Integrated News
