Bongbong says Marcoses, Aquinos okay but don’t agree politically

MONTALBAN, Rizal - “We’ve always been okay, we just don’t agree politically.”

This was the response of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. when asked about the “feud” between the Aquino and Marcos families.

On Tuesday, First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos shared photos of Kris Aquino’s sons Josh and Bimby when they visited her office.

The President said the actress, who is in the United States for treatment, was asking for travel assistance, which he did not elaborate.

Marcos expressed appreciation to the gesture of the Aquinos to visit the First Lady.

“The reason na pinuntahan nila si First Lady ay simple lamang, nangailangan si, I think it was Kris Aquino who needed some assistance for something,” Marcos said.

“So tumulong si First Lady, sabi niya magpasalamat sila (The First Lady helped so they thanked her)… and so I think it was a fine gesture on the part of the Aquino family,” he added.

Marcos also said the First Lady is a distant relative of Josh and Bimby.

"Liza is their aunt. Dahil ang kanyang auntie ay napangasawa si Don Pepe na eldest brother of Cory so they are related ," he said.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
