Woman drives SUV into debt collectors' motorcycles

Woman drives SUV into debt collectors' motorcycles

A woman drove her SUV into the motorcycles of collectors who were sent to take her vehicle due to an unpaid debt in Cebu City.

According to a 24 Oras report by Alan Domingo on Friday, a cell phone video showed the driver trying to flee after hitting the motorcycles on N. Bacalso Avenue, Barangay Pardo on Thursday.

“Ang nangyari is hinarangan siya sa Pardo pa lang sa may-ari ng may-ari sa Toyota para kunin dahil allegedly may utang, hindi nakabayad kaya kukunin," Police Lieutenant Colonel Miguel Andeza said.

"So ang nangyari, may fear sa parte ng driver sa Toyota, pinilit, binangga niya ang motor na nakaharang,” he added.

(She was blocked in Pardo... because she allegedly had an unpaid debt. She hasn’t paid so they tried to take it. There was fear on the part of the Toyota driver and she was forced to crash the motorcycles blocking her way)

An investigation by the Traffic Enforcement Unit found that the SUV was blocked on purpose by the motorcycle riders, who were tasked to take the vehicle.

“This counts as malicious mischief. Bakit? Binangga niya. With intent ang kanyang pagbangga, (Why? She crashed. She crashed into them with intent)” Andeza added.
