DOH offers 2,600 positions in anniversary job fair

In celebration of its 126th Anniversary, a Department of Health job fair offered at least 2,600 vacant positions in several DOH Hospitals and medical facilities.

According to a 24 Oras report by Sandra  Aguinaldo on Tuesday, the DOH job fair was open to doctors, nurses,  dentists, medical technologists, and psychologists.

Positions were also offered to job hunters outside the medical field.

“Nationwide ito. So, yun pong sa ating lugar sa Pinas, punta tayo sa DOH centers  for health development at DOH hospitals. Napakalawak ng salary grade.  Ibig sabihin, entry level up to executive, meron tayong mga vacant  positions,” said DOH Spokesman Assistant Secretary Albert Domingo.

(This is nationwide. So, within our areas in the Philippines, head over to our DOH centers for health development and DOH hospitals. The salary grade is wide. This means, entry-level up to executives, we have vacant  positions.)

Job hunters with different backgrounds flocked to the job fair to apply for open positions.

“Currently po kasi, konti lang yung job opening online and naisipan ko na siguro  mapapadali kung mag onsite. Magandang opportunity din po ito kasi  makikita nyo kung saan yung mga available na hospitals and government  facilities na may opening,” said Julianne Mallari, who was looking for a job as a Medical Technician.

(Currently, there are few job openings online and I thought it would be easier onsite. This is a great opportunity because you can see where the available openings in  hospitals and government facilities are.)

Interested applicants may visit their nearest DOH Job Fair location until June 20. Further details are provided in the DOH's social media page. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/DVM, GMA Integrated News
