Visa docs has Gatchalian asking, 'Is Guo Hua Ping the real Alice Guo?'
Is Chinese passport holder Guo Hua Ping the same person as Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo?
Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian posed the question as he presented on Tuesday records from the Board of Investments of the Guo family's application for a Special Investors Resident Visa.
"Alice Guo might be Guo Hua Ping who entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003 when she was 13 years old. Her real birth date is on Aug 31, 1990," Gatchalian said.
The documents showed Guo Hua Ping entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003 when she was still 13 years old.
Gatchalian said Guo Hua Ping's registered mother for their SIRV is Lin Wenyi, whom he earlier suspected as the mayor's real mother and not Alice Leal Guo.
Guo earlier said that she was her father's love child with their helper Amelia, who left her when she was still a child.
However, the Philippine Statistics Authority said they have no birth records of Guo's parents.
Gatchalian previously dared Guo to undergo DNA testing with Wen Yi Lin to prove her nationality.
Senator Risa Hontiveros has also released documents that showed that Wen Yi Lin is an incorporator in Guo's businesses.
For Gatchalian, these documents would "bolster" a quo warranto case against the embattled mayor.
GMA News Online sought the comment of Guo through her lawyer and through the Bamban public information office, but they have yet to respond as of posting time.
Guo is at the center of the Senate investigation into the raided Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) hub in Bamban, Tarlac after several documents showed that she was personally involved in the processing of documents for its operations.
Guo's citizenship was also questioned due to her inconsistent testimonies about her background and the supposed doubtful documents that could prove that she is a true Filipino. —NB, GMA Integrated News
