PTV's Nebrida takes oath as acting GM

The newly appointed People's Television Network, Inc. acting general manager, Antonio Baltazar "Toby" Nebrida Jr., took his oath of office on Tuesday. 

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Garafil administered Nebrida's oath of office. 

Nebrida said he would continue improving the network and make it more responsive in fulfilling its mandate as the ''people's network.''

''So that's what we're going to be doing. Now, insofar as the most immediate directive is concerned, the directive is to ensure that a smooth and orderly transition from the previous leadership to my leadership is ensured,'' Nebrida told reporters. 

Nebrida said the PTV's people are the most valuable core asset of the organization. 

''We hope to be able to engage our partners in the executive, in the legislative, and our other stakeholders so that we can fulfill the mandate that was given to us,'' he said.

''Again, I will go back to my first statement. It's with great humility and gratitude that I thank the President for this appointment,'' Nebrida said. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
