Marcos appoints Nikki Teodoro as his special envoy to UNICEF

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Monica Louise "Nikki" P. Teodoro as special envoy of the President to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced Tuesday.

Teodoro, wife of Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., served as representative of the 1st District of Tarlac from 2007 to 2010.

Marcos also appointed the following officials, according to the PCO:

Department of Foreign Affairs:

• Giovanni E. Palec: Non-resident ambassador to North Macedonia, in addition to being ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Hellenic Republic, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Cyprus
• Noel Eugene Eusebio M. Servigon: Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Romania

Department of the Interior and Local Government:

• Honee Fritz N. Abangan-Diel: Fire chief superintendent, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
• Gallo M. Macasinag: Fire chief superintendent, BFP

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority:

• Raul F. Marcelo: Member representing the business and investment sectors
• Kenneth Lemuel G. Rementilla: Member representing the private sector
• Honorio C. Allado III, member representing the private sector
• Maria Cecilia B. Bitare: member representing the private sector
